Bladygrass/imperata cylindrica



Bladygrass that has the scientific name Imperata cylindrica is sharp-leaved grasses that can be found ranging from India to the eastern Asia,Southeast Asia,Micronesia and Australia.
This grass can also be found in northern Asia,Europe,Africa and America.
Bladygrass many found in fertile soil with moist or dry conditions.
This grass can grow up to 180 cm high and a single leaf with pointy leaf tips.
Bladygrass is considered as a weed because of rapidly proliferating and covering agricultural land.
The composition contained in the roots of the bladygrass are acetic acid,oxalic acid, citric acid,potassium,calcium and a large number of 5-hydroxytryptamine etc.
Not many know that bladygrass can be used for traditional medicine.
This grass is also useful to withstand erosion.
Bladygrass can be used as appetite enhancer,to stop bleeding and to shed the urine.
It can also be used to treat venereal diseases,kidney disease,fever,high blood pressure and neurological disease.
Generally this grass is used as herbal medicine by using a root that has been dried and then boiled.
Some herbs also add some other herbs plant besides bladygrass roots.
To shed the urine,cut the roots of bladygrass then coupled with 2 cups water and boil until the volume of water to 1 cup, strain and drink concoction 2 times a day.
