Liquorice



Liquorice or licorice is the kind of crop legumes originating from Southern Europe.
Liquorice is a perennial that can grow to three feet and has purple or white flowers bluish.
There are two types of licorice,Glycyrrhiza uralensis and Glycyrrhiza lepidopta.
Substances contained in liquorice are glycyrrhizin which has efficacy for the treatment.
Liquorice is also in use for candy and soft drink industry or in use for seasoning.
Liquorice has expectorant properties,anti-inflammatory and also used for herbal medicine.
Liquorice can be used to treat cholesterol,bronchitis,coughing,heartburn and peptic ulcers.
To treat the disease usually liquorice mixed with some other herbs.
1.To treat peptic ulcers
Ingredients:
• Liquorice: 3 grams
• Turmeric rhizome: 4 grams
• Water: 130 ml
How to make:
Destroy all the above ingredients until smooth and add 130 ml of water,then stir until blended.
How to use:
Drink herb 2 times a day in the morning and evening before meals,drink as much as 100 ml until cured.
2.To cure a cough
Ingredients:
• Liquorice: 1.5 grams
• Turmeric rhizome: 8 grams
• Betel Leaf: 3 pieces
• Water: 130 ml
How to make:
Destroy all the above ingredients until smooth and add 130 ml of water,then stir until blended.
How to use:
Drink herb 2 times a day in the morning and evening before meals,drink as much as 100 ml until cured.
